You probably need a sump pump. But, you
really need to find out why and where
the water is coming in. In many cases,
the amount of water can be lowered
significantly by some simple grading
outside, extending downspouts, etc.
Also, the amount of water pumped per
hour is greatly reduced, the higher you

I need some ideas on how to repair my air compressor please.
There is a small tube that comes out of the tank side of the compressor
and goes into the housing where the guages and regulator are. I assume
this is how the regulator knows what the air pressure in the tank is
and also displays it on the guage. The plastic nipple on the housing

Yeah, it got worse. My submersible was just keeping up. I had 8
inches and after 2 hourse, still had 8 inches. I went to bed and
during the night we lost power and it rose to 14 inches, putting the
furnace out. So the fire department came and pumped me out. Guess
I'm looking at a sump pump. My concern is if I do the job myself

Well, the float will sit more or less on the surface; in my lawn tractor
the tank's maybe 10" deep, so even if the float sits 1/2" lower with
sealer, that's "only" a 5% error (I say only because the thing bounces
around so much in use that it's pretty much impossible to take an
accurate reading anyway).
